Safely Scaling Open Finance Networks with Hybrid Infrastructure

Gnosis, an Ethereum-based open finance leader, needed a more reliable way to power its applications as traffic grew and maintaining self-hosted nodes became time-consuming and difficult to scale. To improve performance, security, availability, and reliability, the team turned to Infura’s API service and hybrid node infrastructure to support products like Gnosis Safe Multisig and the Gnosis mobile app.

With Infura, Gnosis adopted a hybrid approach that combines Infura’s Ethereum connectivity with its own nodes for verification and complex queries. This increased network stability and uptime while reducing infrastructure costs and devops effort, and Gnosis noted that Infura also helped them confirm their own nodes were synced.
