Akropolis, a team building decentralized and autonomous community economies with products like Sparta and Delphi, needed reliable blockchain infrastructure without the cost and complexity of running its own nodes. As its user activity grew, including launch surges of over 2 million requests, the team needed a way to stabilize, monitor, and scale request volume across its Ethereum-based applications.

Akropolis chose Infura for its Ethereum APIs and archive node service to power frontend calls, on-chain data updates, transaction broadcasts, and historical data access. With Infura, Akropolis said it saved around $5k per month in DevOps salaries and servers, while also saving countless engineering hours and comfortably handling an average of about 300,000 requests per day and major traffic spikes.
