University Hospital Basel needed a reliable indoor wayfinding solution to help patients, visitors and staff navigate its complex campus. infsoft developed the "USB Map" app to provide digital routing on smartphones and tablets, addressing signage limits and improving orientation across the site.

infsoft’s solution uses sensor fusion and approximately 2,500 beacons to locate devices, an interactive map with POIs (rooms, sanitation, catering, treatment rooms) and turn-by-turn navigation, plus an employee login to support internal workflows. The deployment improved users’ quality of stay and streamlined internal processes by enabling faster, accurate routing to individually chosen destinations and easy access to services.
