Swiss Federal Railways - Customer Case Study

Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) faced the challenge of helping nearly 1.2 million daily visitors reliably orient themselves across five major Swiss stations (Zurich HB, Basel SBB, Berne, Geneva Cornavin and Lucerne). To solve this, infsoft developed the app "SBB - My Station" as a digital companion to improve wayfinding, accessibility and access to station services.

infsoft implemented a sensor-fusion indoor positioning system using approximately 4,500 beacons to provide turn-by-turn navigation, barrier-free routing, an interactive map with POIs (shops, restrooms, departure tables), special offers and live station content such as an Instagram feed. The app now guides travelers to platforms and services in real time, serves the stations’ large daily footfall, and earned praise from SBB for infsoft’s expertise, fast implementation and business understanding.
