MEPLAN GmbH, a subsidiary of Messe München, faced the challenge of meeting the special requirements of trade fairs: helping visitors plan visits efficiently, locate preferred exhibitors in large halls, and navigate indoors. They partnered with infsoft to develop an iOS and Android trade-fair app (expo NAVIGATION) that combines indoor positioning, routing, contextual map highlights and augmented reality to address these needs.

infsoft delivered a scalable mobile solution featuring exhibitor lists with favorites, detailed exhibitor info, map view and fastest-route indoor navigation, AR wayfinding, event programming and real-time public-transport timetables. The app is now used at over 60 trade fairs in seven countries across three continents, improving visitor wayfinding and engagement and earning MEPLAN GmbH’s endorsement of infsoft’s implementation and building-digitalization expertise.
