Fraport AG - Customer Case Study

Fraport AG, operator of Frankfurt Airport, needed a scalable wayfinding and passenger‑service solution to manage complex routing and information across a 150‑hectare site serving over 61 million passengers annually. To address this, Fraport AG commissioned infsoft to develop bespoke Android and iOS apps with indoor positioning and navigation in 2011, later expanding the project into an omni‑channel system with responsive web map integration and interactive terminal kiosks (Interactive Airport Desk – I‑AID).

infsoft implemented indoor positioning/navigation apps, responsive website maps and the I‑AID interactive media, digitally recording about 1,000 points of interest and roughly 30 km of routes. The solution delivers real‑time flight information, parking assistance, boarding‑card scanning, sign translation and more, now benefiting over 61 million passengers yearly and providing measurable coverage, improved wayfinding and multi‑channel access across the airport.
