Vandemoortele Unifying Hybrid Network to Guarantee Application Performance and Save on IT Costs

Vandemoortele, the European market leader in frozen bakery products and margarines & fats with 54 sites across 12 countries, faced rising WAN demand after centralizing datacenters and moving critical SAP functions to a central deployment. The company needed to guarantee SAP availability for production lines, optimize the use of two redundant MPLS providers (T-Systems and Interoute) to reduce IT costs, and gain business-driven application performance management. To meet these needs Vandemoortele selected Infovista’s Application Aware SD‑WAN / Hybrid Network Unification solution.

Infovista implemented a single, application-aware system—combining visibility, QoS & control, WAN optimization and dynamic WAN selection—integrated into Vandemoortele’s T‑Systems managed service. The solution dynamically uses 100% of the capacity across both MPLS links, eliminating performance brownouts and delivering guaranteed application performance and continuity. Measurable results include full use of paid bandwidth (e.g., effectively gaining the full 4 Mb from two 2 Mb links instead of a previously usable 3 Mb), predictable costs, and 100% availability/performance guarantees for business-critical applications.
