Colt, a pan‑European business communications and managed IT services provider, faced a fragmented set of local OSS and monitoring tools that increased management overhead and risked overall network performance and service quality. To standardize service‑centric performance monitoring and give customers visibility into service delivery, Colt evaluated several vendors and selected Infovista’s performance management platform and professional services.

Infovista’s consultant team deployed a scalable, open solution that integrated with Colt’s existing systems (including EMC Smarts, provisioning tools and LDAP) and provides end‑to‑end service visibility across Colt’s infrastructure—covering some 10,000 CPEs and about 400 core and access devices on its multi‑country network. As a result, Infovista enabled proactive detection and resolution of issues before customer impact, more accurate capacity planning and the ability to add services and customers without disruption, delivered real‑time SLA reports to customers, and drove measurable improvements in operational and financial efficiency and competitive service reliability.
