Bouygues Construction building its WAN Governance strategy with Ipanema

Bouygues Construction, a global construction and engineering subsidiary with 52,600 employees and more than 1,500 WAN-connected sites supporting 20,000 users, faced rising network complexity that was degrading performance of business‑critical applications—most notably SAP. To guarantee application availability, control costs and align the network with business priorities, Bouygues selected Infovista’s Ipanema solution (Visibility and Optimization modules plus Permanent Audit service) to build a WAN governance strategy.

Infovista deployed the Ipanema system across the estate—defining 13 global performance objectives, assigning priorities to applications and installing ~100 ip|engines and 800 tele‑managed appliances—providing real‑time visibility, 15 service‑centric reports and application‑centric control. As a result, Bouygues Construction moved from reactive firefighting to proactive WAN governance, optimized application performance without costly bandwidth upgrades, and reduced bandwidth needs by 10–20%.
