Gemalto, a global digital security firm operating in 85 countries with more than 14,000 employees, needed to secure and simplify the rollout of Skype for Business across its >90 sites while maximizing employee adoption and cutting telecommunications and IT costs. To achieve this, Gemalto chose Infovista’s solution (delivered as an e-Qual managed service), leveraging Application Aware SD‑WAN capabilities to manage unified communications and business-critical apps.

Infovista implemented dynamic hybrid WAN (MPLS + Internet) with management-by-objectives, application-aware routing and real-time dashboards, giving IT full visibility and proactive control. As a result, Skype for Business became the company’s primary collaboration tool (about 3 million minutes per month and 21,000 audio/video conferences monthly), end-user experience and adoption improved, and telecom charges and bandwidth-related IT costs were reduced while critical application performance was guaranteed.
