The Ministry of Transportation, Ontario digitizes carrier registration, licensing and performance monitoring

The Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) needed to modernize its 40-year-old carrier registration, licensing, and performance monitoring system as part of its Road User Safety Modernization program. Working with Infosys Public Services, the ministry set out to digitize service delivery for thousands of carriers and businesses and replace manual, paper-based processes with a more customer-centric approach.

Infosys Public Services implemented the new Registration and Licensing System of Ontario (RLSO), an enterprise services-based platform built with Oracle/Siebel software products. The solution automated transactions and provided staff and customers with the information they needed, delivering a 360-degree customer view, up to 90% faster record access, up to 70% faster processing for some applications, improved accuracy and compliance, expanded delivery channels, and greater scalability.
