Starcount, a specialist data and insights agency, helps brands in the UK and US understand who their customers are and why they buy in order to create better customer experiences. Its challenge was that first-party data alone only gives a partial view of an audience, so brands needed a more complete, privacy-compliant way to enrich their CRM data and build actionable segments at scale.
Using InfoSum’s Secure Data Clean Room, Starcount enabled brands to securely match first-party data on email address with its consented, cookieless insights datasets, including social media, open banking, and demographic data. This helped customers generate insight reports, improve segmentation and retention, and create lookalikes for acquisition; in one electronics use case, Starcount matched audiences across ~10K to ~570K records per product group and identified top interest profiles, while a premier league football club used the solution to better understand fans, validate sponsorships, and improve engagement.
