Why U.S. Navy Operations Department Lead Edward Brown Earned His CEH With Infosec

Edward Brown, Operations Department Lead at the Navy Information Warfare Training Command, needed to shift his career from cryptology into cybersecurity and required certification and hands-on skill training to do so. To prepare for the Certified Ethical Hacker exam he enrolled in Infosec’s CEH Boot Camp and later signed up for Infosec’s CISSP Boot Camp as he prepares to take the CISSP exam.

Infosec delivered a hands-on CEH Boot Camp (instructor Jeremy) with capture-the-flag labs, Nmap scripting exercises and practical pentesting tool training, which Edward says built a “pentesting toolbox” and made the material easy to retain. As a result, Edward earned his CEH certification in early 2018, cited Infosec’s >90% exam pass rate as a reason for choosing the vendor, and is now preparing to take the CISSP exam after Infosec’s CISSP Boot Camp — positioning him for cybersecurity roles after the Navy.
