How Snow College Created a Culture of Security Awareness Using Infosec IQ

Snow College, a state college in Ephraim, Utah, needed to protect student, financial and personnel data by reducing human risk. To address this, Snow College partnered with Infosec and deployed the Infosec IQ security awareness training program to teach faculty and staff how to detect, avoid and report security threats.

Using Infosec IQ, Information Security Officer Paul Tew ran phishing simulations and targeted training for roughly 500 employees, leveraging dynamic learner groups to remediate high-risk users. Infosec’s solution cut Snow College’s phish rate in half, drove a steady increase in employee reporting (about 10–20 suspicious-email inquiries per week), and helped build a campus-wide culture of security awareness.
