How Leidos identifies, trains and retains world-class cybersecurity talent with help from Infosec Skills

Leidos, a science and technology company serving government and commercial customers, faced the challenge of finding, training, and retaining world-class cybersecurity talent amid a widening industry skills gap. To address this, Leidos turned to Infosec Skills to support its CyberEDGE Academy with self-paced, flexible learning and hands-on training mapped to NICE Work Roles.

Using Infosec Skills, Leidos built personalized training plans that combined courses, labs, assessments, cyber ranges, and mentoring to help employees grow into roles such as cyber defender, cyber governance expert, risk management framework expert, and cyber operator. The result was stronger engagement and retention, with the number of seats in the program more than doubling and retention rates in cybersecurity roles increasing because employees felt invested in and supported by Leidos and Infosec.
