Orange County Fire Rescue Department - Customer Case Study

Orange County Fire Rescue Department (OCFRD) needed a safer way to train incident commanders for high-pressure emergency situations without relying solely on risky on-the-job experience. To address this challenge, Information Transport Solutions deployed a SMART Board interactive whiteboard with CommandSim software to create a realistic incident command simulator.

With the simulator, Information Transport Solutions helped OCFRD run 30-minute training scenarios covering situations such as missing crews, broken engines, and multiple victims. The result was safer, more realistic training that immersed participants in emergency scenes and improved response skills across a department handling more than 86,000 emergency calls a year.
