Willis Towers Watson Enhances Client Experience With Embedded BI Portal

Willis Towers Watson, a global risk-management, insurance brokerage and advisory firm with more than 40,000 employees operating in 140+ countries, needed to modernize the customer experience, simplify security, and streamline access to sensitive client information. Its existing BenefitView portal had availability, connectivity and scalability issues and required a HIPAA‑compliant, single-sign-on solution to support benefit administrators managing retiree Medicare enrollments.

Working with Information Builders and BloomfieldX, WTW rebuilt BenefitView using WebFOCUS (Portal, App Studio, InfoAssist) to deliver a branded, SSO-enabled analytics portal that aggregates multiple data sources, enforces HIPAA security, and supports scalability and failover. Deployed in 45 days, the new portal serves 400+ clients and about 1.5 million retirees, provides interactive dashboards and drilldowns, reduces maintenance and redundant tools, and empowers administrators to make faster, more informed decisions.
