Wendy's Freshens Up Its Operational Perspective With WebFOCUS

The Wendy’s Company, the world’s third-largest quick-service hamburger chain with more than 6,500 franchise and company-owned restaurants, needed to modernize its back-office analytics to integrate a new NCR Aloha POS and deliver timely, role-based information across the enterprise. Wendy’s engaged Information Builders to replace legacy batch reporting with a more flexible, restaurant-level and executive-ready BI solution.

Information Builders consolidated POS and operational data into a single data warehouse and deployed WebFOCUS (Portal, ReportCaster and Web Services) to deliver 12 portals and 250+ interactive reports and dashboards (refreshed multiple times daily) accessible on desktops, tablets and phones. The rollout gave managers drill-down visibility, role-based access, and mobile access, enabling better labor and food-cost decisions, improved profit margins at hundreds of locations, and rapid adoption across thousands of franchise and company restaurants.
