Utz Quality Foods, founded in 1921 and operating 10 facilities across the U.S., needed an enterprise-wide analytics strategy to support rapid organic growth and frequent mergers and acquisitions. The challenge was to unify disparate systems, improve data quality, and deliver real-time, self-service insights so business units could make faster, forward-looking decisions.

Working with Information Builders, Utz deployed WebFOCUS, InfoAssist+, iWay integration and data-quality tools and built InfoApps like SnackBoard to provide clean, contextual data via dashboards and portals. The solution gave more than 300 users—and external partners—easy access to timely sales, inventory, logistics and finance insights, speeding decision-making, improving promotional effectiveness and onboarding of acquired companies, and helping Utz compete more effectively with larger snack firms.
