Information Builders worked with Tata Steel to unify fragmented production and order data from SAP, Oracle, ADABAS and other systems so users across the supply chain could get timely, comprehensive insight. Tata needed a near‑real‑time, centralized view to support its Theory of Constraints manufacturing approach and to surface bottlenecks from continuous casting through finished coil delivery.

The team deployed WebFOCUS, ReportCaster and iWay DataMigrator to power an intranet BI application (RAPID) and interactive InfoApps that combine multiple data warehouses and operational systems. The centralized, self‑service analytics accelerated root‑cause analysis, optimized coil loading and shipping, improved yields and safety, sped customer responses, and achieved quick ROI—supporting roughly 750 daily users and thousands of reports and queries.
