Sound Credit Union Improves Member Service With Self-Service Analytics

Sound Credit Union, founded in 1940, is one of Washington’s largest credit unions with 29 branches and nearly 120,000 members. The organization struggled with fragmented member data and limited visibility across systems, which produced manual work, incomplete answers to member questions, and an inability to spot trends in deposits, lending, and account activity.

Sound built an analytics data mart and three self-service portals (Branch Metrics, Credit Union Insights, Lending Metrics) using WebFOCUS, InfoAssist, RStat and ETL feeds from core and ancillary systems, consolidating siloed data into a single warehouse. The executive dashboards and end-user tools gave staff a 360° view of members, enabled data-driven decisions, targeted product offers, improved service, increased deposits and helped minimize loan delinquencies.
