Roofing Contractor Tops Competition With Improved Self-Service Analytics User Experience for Customers and Employees

CentiMark, America’s largest independent commercial roofing contractor with 80 offices, sought to build on an existing BI strategy by enhancing its customer portal, MyCentiMark.com, and delivering new applications and a better user experience for both clients and staff. The challenge was to make project, budget and condition data more accessible and actionable across large, property‑intensive customers while expanding internal reporting and self‑service capabilities.

Working with Information Builders, CentiMark migrated to WebFOCUS 8 and deployed WebFOCUS, ReportCaster and data adapters, plus interactive InfoApps that pull from SAP R/3 and other systems into a secure, embedded portal experience. The result: a clear market differentiator that helped win Fortune‑level accounts (about half the company’s revenue is supported by the portal), thousands of monthly users, improved sales and telemarketing visibility, better safety reporting and scheduling, and more efficient internal workflows.
