Plex Systems Launches Cloud-Based Reporting Solution With InfoAssist

Plex Systems, maker of the Plex Manufacturing Cloud ERP for manufacturers, faced a common SaaS challenge: customers had to build reports using SQL, which limited access to data and made it hard for nontechnical users to analyze and visualize operational information across shop floor, inventory, and supply-chain processes.

Plex embedded Information Builders’ InfoAssist (branded as “IntelliPlex”) to provide web‑based, drag‑and‑drop BI with single sign‑on, reusable portals, dashboards, scheduling and multiple export formats. The result: hundreds of customers — about 40% of the user base — now create interactive reports and dashboards, improving traceability, operational insight, and user adoption while automating end‑user reporting.
