Ministry of Employment and Social Security Improves Inspections With WebFOCUS

The Ministry of Employment and Social Security of Spain, through its Labor and Social Security Oversight Office (LSSOO), partnered with Information Builders to modernize its Integra inspection system. The ministry faced slow, production-bound reporting, limited drill-down and visibility, and the need for alert-driven dashboards and KPIs to improve inspection, tax collection, and anti-fraud efforts.

Using iWay DataMigrator to build a reporting data warehouse and WebFOCUS (with Flex Enable) to deliver parameterized reports, dashboards, scorecards and alerts, the project offloaded reporting from operational systems and made tailored analytics accessible to inspectors and managers. The result: much faster reporting, richer visualizations and drill-downs, improved productivity and oversight, quicker response to accidents, tax collection and underground-economy cases, and better KPI-driven decision making.
