IQVIA is a consulting and services firm focused on sales and marketing effectiveness, performance management, and cloud-based business intelligence for the life sciences sector. Facing a deluge of data from internal systems, third parties, and government sources, pharmaceutical companies were struggling with slow, manual reporting in Excel and bespoke tools that hampered timely sales, marketing, and distribution decisions.

IQVIA built MiPortal®, a WebFOCUS-based SaaS BI platform that delivers dashboards, InfoApps, mobile access, and multitenant customization from a hosted SQL data warehouse. The solution, used by many top pharmaceutical customers and about 2,500 users, accelerated reporting, improved sales-force strategy and risk identification, and increased the speed and quality of commercial decision-making.
