Intelligence, Ltd. Improves Critical Sales Reporting With WebFOCUS

Intelligence, Ltd., a Tokyo-based HR consulting firm that runs job-listing sites and recruitment services, faced a critical sales challenge: its salesforce lacked timely, comprehensive access to account and advertisement performance data. The existing Job Listing Reporting Tool delivered limited insight and required IT to aggregate data from databases and spreadsheets—a slow process that hindered proposal preparation—while the company needed a fast, low-cost, user-friendly replacement to be ready within three months for the launch of two new DODA sites.

Working with partner Ashisuto, Intelligence implemented Information Builders’ WebFOCUS BI platform, chosen for its development productivity, intuitive interface, and processor-based licensing. The new system was built and deployed within the three-month window; sales reps can now quickly access and analyze current and historical account data, run richer searches, and produce customized, data-driven proposals. Results included faster report creation, unified data access, greater proposal variety and persuasiveness, immediate user adoption without training, and a scalable cost model as user numbers grow.
