Institute for Elderly and Social Services (IMSERSO) Strengthens Oversight With WebFOCUS

Information Builders partnered with the Institute for Elderly and Social Services (IMSERSO), a Spanish government agency that manages programs for elderly and dependent citizens, to strengthen oversight and transparency of social services. IMSERSO’s challenge was to create an online, mobile-capable State Information System of Social Services (SEISS) that would consolidate disparate indicators, empower agency workers with analytic tools, support performance monitoring, and give citizens access to meaningful information.

Using WebFOCUS plus ReportCaster, Portal, Active Technologies, InfoAssist and iWay Data Migrator, the team built SEISS as a public, self-service analytics portal. The system now delivers 86 KPIs from more than 80,000 data points, is accessible on web and mobile devices, lets users drill into data by gender, age and geography, and provides a flexible, scalable platform that improves decision‑making, transparency and rapid response to citizen needs.
