Case Study: Georgia Department of Labor achieves improved job seeker support and statewide labor analytics with Information Builders

A Information Builders Case Study

Preview of the Georgia Department of Labor Case Study

Information Builders Helps Georgia Citizens Get Back to Work

Information Builders provided the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) a way to turn large, disparate sources of workforce data into actionable intelligence. GDOL needed to track employment-services metrics for up to 500,000 job seekers annually, deliver labor-exchange statistics to federal and state agencies, and combine data from mainframes, DB2 and SQL Server systems into usable reports and dashboards.

Using WebFOCUS with ReportCaster (and integration tools), GDOL created a BI environment that fuses raw data, delivers parameterized self-service reports and scheduled broadcasts, and presents interactive charts, maps and exception reports. The solution automated reporting to 46 career centers, empowered managers and caseworkers to find and target individuals in need, supported grant and program tracking (including Employ Georgia), and helped stakeholders statewide and federally understand shifting labor trends.
