ICA Fluor Empowers Business Users With Better Analytics

ICA Fluor, a joint venture between Mexico’s ICA and Fluor Corporation, is a leading industrial engineering and construction firm operating across Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. As the company and its project portfolio grew, executives faced rapidly increasing data from disparate systems (Oracle E-Business Suite, CRM, Primavera, and an in‑house Material Manager) and needed to consolidate that information for about 70 senior managers—eliminating inconsistent Excel “spreadmarts” and reducing reliance on IT for reporting.

ICA Fluor implemented Information Builders’ WebFOCUS platform (with Active Technologies, OLAP services and iWay adapters), created a unified data model and rolled out roughly 40 reports, dashboards and interactive PDF/mobile visualizations in a self‑service environment. The solution delivered consistent, timely KPIs for forecasting, budgeting and procurement, improved data quality and accountability, increased efficiency and user satisfaction, and has been expanded into HR and procurement.
