Enhanced Access to SAP Data Spurs Productivity for IT Solutions Provider

Fuji Xerox Information Systems (FXIS), a Japan-based IT solutions provider responsible for developing and operating IT infrastructure for Fuji Xerox and external clients, faced difficulty giving field users timely access to project profitability data stored across multiple SAP systems. Reporting was slow and manual—data had to be exported to Access and Excel, aggregated and reworked for each request—creating heavy support burdens for accounting and delaying end-of-period financial close.

FXIS partnered with Information Builders and local integrator KK Ashisuto to deploy the WebFOCUS BI platform and build a Profitability Management System, migrating the existing Access solution in a few months. The new, intuitive environment lets users retrieve and analyze large volumes of SAP project data directly, cutting report preparation time by two-thirds, enabling one-day end-of-period reporting, reducing accounting support effort, and accelerating broader BI adoption for faster system development and better decision-making.
