DST Creates Self-Service Analytic Environment With WebFOCUS

DST Systems, a Kansas City–based provider of advisory, technology, and operations outsourcing with about 13,000 employees and $2.7 billion in revenue, needed to replace an expensive Oracle reporting environment with a more flexible, cost-effective analytics platform that could support internal performance management and be embedded into client-facing applications.

DST implemented Information Builders’ WebFOCUS platform with Performance Management Framework, InfoAssist, Portal and in‑document analytics to deliver low‑code, self‑service analytics and embedded BI for solutions like AWD and DST Pharmacy Solutions. The change freed IT from building custom reports, gave business users on‑demand analytics and executive dashboards (about two dozen KPIs) for performance management, and scaled across thousands of internal users and hundreds of customer organizations.
