Disc Brakes Australia Accelerates Ordering With Custom e-Commerce Solution

Disc Brakes Australia (DBA), an Australian-owned manufacturer and global marketer of disc brake rotors and pads, relied on phone-based order entry across five time zones and manual ERP updates, which overloaded its call center and restricted customers to business hours. DBA needed a flexible, low-maintenance way for domestic and overseas customers to place orders anytime and reduce order-processing delays.

Information Builders delivered DBA Connect, a cloud-based e-commerce portal built with WebFOCUS and a RESTful adapter that links to DBA’s Abel ERP to verify inventory, generate packing slips, and pass orders for fulfillment. The self-service system is highly reliable and hosted by Information Builders, cutting order-to-cash time by about 75% (tasks that took 10–20 minutes now take ~1 minute), supporting 30–50 daily orders today with capacity for 300–350 as rollout continues.
