Customer-Facing BI Helps AACA Manage $2.6 Billion Portfolio

The American Alliance of Creditor Attorneys (AACA) manages a national network of law firms to recover post charged-off consumer debt for credit grantors and debt buyers. AACA faced a critical visibility problem: clients and law firms could not access current account information, which delayed collection actions (sometimes for months), hindered timely negotiations and judgments, and obscured problem accounts and process bottlenecks.

To fix this, AACA built Pipeway®, a secure, browser-based, customer-facing BI portal powered by Information Builders WebFOCUS (with iWay DB2 adapter and ReportCaster) that uses color-coded pipes and parameterized reports to display real-time account status to 800+ users. The system created a shared system of record, enabled self-service reporting and faster reconciliation, let staff quickly eliminate logjams, and increased law-firm efficiency (up to twice as efficient in some cases), allowing collectors to handle larger volumes across a $2.6 billion portfolio.
