The Council of Europe, the continent’s oldest political organization representing 46 countries and managing a budget of over €260 million, needed an organization-wide business intelligence platform to consolidate and rationalize large volumes of financial information. The initiative was tied to a wider financial IT systems upgrade and had to be implemented quickly to meet tight deadlines and support decision-making at all levels of the organization.

The Council selected Information Builders’ WebFOCUS, implemented on schedule and piloted in-house with training and support; today more than 200 staff use the tool daily.
