Dealertrack, operator of the largest U.S. online credit-application network and provider of a cloud-based Dealer Management System used by thousands of dealerships, needed modern reporting, analytics, and self-service report creation. Its built-in reports were powerful but static, lacking parameterized reporting, guided ad-hoc tools, and rich data visualizations that customers demanded.
Dealertrack implemented Information Builders’ WebFOCUS suite (WebFOCUS, InfoAssist, Visual Discovery, ReportCaster) to build a branded DMS Reporting environment with real-time, role-based dashboards, guided ad-hoc templates, and parameterized reports across Parts Inventory, Customers, Service, Vehicle Inventory, and Accounting. The solution enabled easy visualization and custom report creation, was rapidly adopted by hundreds of dealers, and positioned Dealertrack ahead of competitors by improving operational insight and decision-making.
