CEMEX, a Monterrey-based global supplier of cement and construction materials operating in more than 55 countries with over 44,000 employees, struggled to deliver timely, consolidated financial and operational information to executives. Growing data volume and disparate sources overwhelmed IT and made reporting manual, slow, and unreliable, hampering forecasting and decision-making.

CEMEX implemented Information Builders’ WebFOCUS platform—including developer tools, ReportCaster, InfoApps and mobile-enabled dashboards—to consolidate data from 30 divisions and multiple sources (SQL Server, SAP BW/R3, Excel) into role-based, self-service analytics accessible on iOS, Android and PCs. The rapid rollout put up-to-date, interactive reports and InfoApps in the hands of 300+ managers, reduced manual reporting effort, improved real-time visibility into operations and enabled faster, more confident decision-making.
