Pershing LLC, a leading clearing and financial services provider with more than $800 billion under administration serving 1,100 firms and 100,000 advisors, needed a way to deliver targeted analytical information to tens of thousands of busy brokers without forcing them to learn report writers or deal with database technology. The challenge was to embed easy-to-use, real-time analytics into the existing NetExchange Pro broker workstation so users could get quick answers in the context of their daily workflows.

Pershing implemented Information Builders’ WebFOCUS BI platform integrated on a Unix/Oracle stack and embedded within NetExchange Pro, offering parameterized, browser- and Windows-accessible reports, real-time queries, and visual scorecards. The solution reduced IT-driven custom reporting, improved operational decision-making and customer experience, and achieved broad adoption—about 75,000 users (over 80% of the target base)—with measurable operational and business benefits.
