Vale, one of the world’s top three metals and mining companies with operations in more than 30 countries, relies on a vast network of suppliers, banks and engineering partners. Rapid growth in cloud-based collaboration produced large volumes and varied formats of unstructured data that Vale’s legacy mainframe processes could not handle, making onboarding slow, manual and costly, limiting large-file exchange and reducing partner visibility and control.

To solve this, Vale implemented a global partner gateway (GIFT) using Informatica B2B Data Exchange, B2B Data Transformation and PowerCenter to automate multi-format data flows, enable large-file transfers, and provide event monitoring, security and self-service.
