Swisslog Healthcare Solutions, a leader in hospital automation and medication-management systems, needed a faster, more reliable way to share master data held in SAP with sales and service teams using Salesforce Service Cloud. Previously, synchronization was manual and relied on custom web services and flat-file imports, making it difficult to create and integrate work orders in real time, dispatch technicians quickly, allocate costs correctly, and give sales and call-center agents a single view of equipment, contracts, and service activity.

Swisslog implemented Informatica Cloud integration templates to automate and transform Salesforce work orders into SAP Service Orders, eliminating custom code and replacing their SAP BODI system. The integration enabled correct warranty booking to SAP projects, improved visibility of contracts, parts, and service history for sales reps, sped technician dispatch and billing accuracy, and allowed more agile SAP connectivity without complex development.
