Électricité de France (EDF), the second-largest French utility with more than 120,000 MW of generation capacity across Europe, Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, faced imminent deregulation of the French electricity market and needed to analyze customer data more effectively. The company also needed to standardize IT resources and move away from fragmented, locally managed data centers that supported departmental reporting.

EDF implemented Informatica PowerCenter to standardize data access, processing and application development across the group.
