A Informatica Case Study
LANDBANK, the fourth-largest and largest government-owned bank in the Philippines serving farmers, fisher folk, SMEs and local government units, faced growing challenges in delivering timely, accurate business intelligence from many disparate source systems. Tightening Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas reporting and AML requirements, rising data volumes, and the need for faster, lower-risk decision making made compliance, reporting, and operational reporting resource intensive and error-prone.
To address this, LANDBANK built an enterprise data warehouse using Informatica PowerCenter and PowerExchange with Indra as integrator, consolidating deposits, loans, treasury and credit-risk data into daily, preformatted reports for executives and front-line teams. The solution accelerated decision making (for example, ALCO now uses one-day-old deposits), improved regulatory reporting and campaign monitoring, empowered account managers and product teams with trusted data, reduced risk and data-management costs, and set the stage for further enhancements like data quality and master data management.
