Informatica Helps Jiangsu Zijin Rural Commercial Bank Explore the Value of Data

Jiangsu Zijin Rural Commercial Bank, a growing regional lender with 125 outlets and over 2,200 employees, faced mounting problems from rapid business growth: scattered and inconsistent data across core and peripheral systems, manual and fragile data import processes, multiple database types and hundreds of interfaces, and performance and maintenance bottlenecks that hindered timely, trustworthy management information. The bank needed a unified data platform to standardize, cleanse and consolidate data to support business operations, reporting and executive decision‑making.

The bank built the province’s first ODS data warehouse in 2013 using Informatica PowerCenter together with Digital China’s ODS tools to automate extraction, transformation and loading across nine source systems (about 320 interfaces) and multiple databases. The solution created a single, standardized data view, improved data completeness and consistency, shortened data import from 2–3 hours to about 30 minutes, reduced maintenance effort and costs, and enabled a management “cockpit” for faster, more reliable decision‑making and future analytics.
