A Informatica Case Study
Instituto de Crédito Oficial (ICO), Spain’s state-owned development bank, faced growing and changing reporting requirements from the Bank of Spain and the European Central Bank. Compiling timely, accurate financial reports from disparate systems (Oracle, SAP, SQL Server and flat files) was manual, slow and resource-intensive, so ICO needed a cloud-based integration approach that avoided changing legacy systems and supported its digital transformation goals.
ICO implemented Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) and Informatica Cloud Data Integration to synchronize and replicate data and semi-automate report generation, preparing for a multi‑cloud future. The move improved compliance with Spanish and EU reporting standards (helping avoid costly fines), dramatically reduced engineering effort (using roughly 20–30% of prior resources), sped report development and simplified maintenance.
