Hubo Unifies Sales Channels, Expanding into a True Marketplace

Hubo, a Belgian DIY retailer with more than 150 stores and ambitions to be the market leader online and offline, needed to vastly expand its webshop assortment and speed up supplier onboarding. Its existing PIM couldn’t handle mass edits or connect to GS1 GDSN data pools, so Hubo needed a scalable, easy-to-use MDM/PIM to grow from 50,000 SKUs toward a target of 1 million and to exchange real-time product data with suppliers.

Hubo deployed Informatica MDM – Product 360 with help from Parsionate and Informatica Professional Services, using the Informatica GDSN Accelerator and a Supplier Self‑Service Portal to synchronize supplier data and digital assets via GS1. The result: suppliers can upload and maintain product data directly, onboarding is 10× faster, Hubo can edit SKUs en masse, and the company is on track to scale its assortment while becoming the first Belgian DIY retailer connected to GS1.
