Amgen, a leading biotechnology company, needed to better understand relationships among patients, providers, payers, and products to reach more patients and improve outcomes. Its homegrown master data management system had become unstable and hard to scale, with data trapped in silos and manual workarounds that stretched product-launch data mastering to three–four months and limited analytics and AI initiatives.
Amgen implemented Informatica Multidomain MDM with embedded data quality and real-time and batch integration to master provider, product, and payer domains. The new platform cut mastering time to four–six weeks, reduced manual effort and operating costs, enabled real-time CRM and support integrations, and fueled analytics and AI that help identify secondary health-event risks and improve patient support and reach.
