Education Giant Creates Project to Overcome the Data Management Challenge

Kroton, one of the world’s largest education companies serving over one million students across Brazil, grew rapidly through acquisitions and ended up with four different student management systems. That fragmentation made reliable, consolidated data management a major operational and business challenge as the company sought to personalize learning and scale services.

Kroton implemented K‑Hub, a centralized information hub built using Informatica PowerCenter, MDM and Data Quality to create master records, cleanse data and enable SOA-based integration. The platform consolidated and enriched the student database (including alumni), cut system‑integration time by more than 50% (enabling a new student‑employer portal in 15 days), and improved IT efficiency and the ability to deliver adaptive, personalized learning.
