A Informatica Case Study
Community Technology Alliance (CTA) is a San Jose–based nonprofit that helps counties collect and match data to connect people experiencing homelessness with housing and services. CTA faced fragmented agency systems and manual processes that slowed assistance, forced clients to re-enter information, and made it difficult for communities to meet HEARTH Act reporting requirements and preserve homeless assistance funding.
CTA built the HOME mobile app and uses Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services to integrate cloud, on‑premises, API and flat‑file data into an AWS data lake and surface results in Tableau. The integrated platform creates a trusted single source of truth for coordinated entry, speeds referrals and eligibility screening, improves HUD reporting, and has helped communities—for example, Monterey County—reduce return‑to‑homelessness rates by up to 75%.
