A Informatica Case Study
Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) promotes the emirate’s cultural sites and visitor economy but faced a data challenge: tourism metrics were scattered across legacy systems, hotels, attractions, surveys and files, and compiling them was a manual, time‑consuming process that limited reporting to monthly updates and reduced trust in analytics. DCT needed faster, more accurate insights to measure visitor numbers and economic impact and to become a reliable data provider for government and industry partners.
Working with BBI and Informatica, DCT deployed Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services—including Cloud Data Integration, Data Quality, B2B Gateway and Cloud API Manager—to automate ingestion from 17 sources, enforce 100+ quality rules, and expose data via APIs. The solution enabled daily KPI reporting, next‑day monthly reports, saved more than 2,000 person‑hours annually, increased trust and analytics adoption, and set the stage for cloud migration and improved tourism growth.
