Austin Community College District (ACC) serves more than 70,000 students across Central Texas and needed to modernize its IT estate to improve student access and operations. Years of point-to-point, application-specific integrations and a legacy UniData ERP made data slow, duplicated, and hard to maintain—onboarding and granting system access could take 24–48 hours and real-time integration was not possible.
ACC deployed Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) — including Cloud Data and Application Integration, API management, and Integration Hub — to create a hub-and-spoke architecture, automate data quality and master student records, and stitch Salesforce, Workday, Okta, and legacy systems together. The result: near-real-time provisioning (access granted in seconds vs. days), reduced IT effort and operating costs, faster insights from trusted “golden” student records, and noticeably improved student and staff experiences.
