Hermes - Customer Case Study

Hermes operates a 12,000 m² West Hub in Huckelhoven where 145 employees handle around 50 million parcels a year, creating a complex yard-logistics challenge to keep deliveries economical and on time. To streamline incoming and outgoing flows and shorten routes to customers, Hermes deployed INFORM’s yard management software SyncroTESS.

INFORM’s SyncroTESS coordinates the entire yard process—managing two fully automatic sorters, a small-item sorter, 85 spiral and sorting chutes, internal shuttle vehicles, about 300 swap bodies per day and 114 loading bays—enabling processing peaks of up to 28,000 deliveries per hour. By centralizing and automating yard control, INFORM helped Hermes achieve smoother handling of up to 50 million annual deliveries, supporting faster routing and contributing to Hermes’ high on-time delivery performance.
